We play, we code, we learn!

The educational robots KUBO and VEX 123 are great companions to help children learn coding without a screen.  They are the perfect first introduction to new technologies in a  fun and engaging way.  Whether it's learning numbers, letters, shapes...or discovering about the human body, space, road safety... these educational robots turn a class into an original, fun and screen-free playtime.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 12 students
DURATION: 1 school hour (50 minutes). The workshop can be extended into a series.

First animated stories

Students make their first steps in the world of animation and programming using the Scratch Jr. app. Together, we learn the basics of coding with pictograms to make characters move and bring little stories to life.

This activity combines creativity, storytelling and an introduction to digital technology. It can be adapted to a topic covered in class or a book read in the class.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 12 students
DURATION: 1 school hour (50 minutes). The workshop can be extended into a series

I BUILD AND CODE MY FIRST ROBOT

Motors, robot brain, sensors… Students learn how robots work and how they help us in our everyday life. We build a robot base and learn to programme it using Scratch blocks. By adding a few sensors, the students code their robot to tackle small challenges, e.g. start a program when a button is pressed or turning on a LED light.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 25 students
DURATION: 2 school hours (1 hour 40 minutes). The workshop can be extended into a series.

MARTY THE ROBOT

Marty is a humanoid robot that is full of personality.  He can walk, dance and even play football! Marty is the ideal companion to discover coding with Scratch blocks.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 25 students
DURATION: 1 school hour (50 minutes). The workshop can be extended into a series.

Mission to Mars

Join us in our exciting expedition to the red planet and learn the history of it's exploration!   In teams students build their rover and learn the basics of programming with Scratch blocks. Then they are ready to take on the challenge to send their robot on a mission.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 25 students
DURATION: A cycle of at least 3 workshops. Each workshop lasts 2 school hours (1h40).

Saving the Oceans

Students discover how robots help us to clean up the oceans. Working in teams, they build a robot that can move, detect waste and collect it. They discover the basics of coding with Scratch blocks to help the robot to accomplish its mission: to save the oceans!

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 25 students
DURATION: A cycle of at least 3 workshops. Each workshop lasts 2 school hours (1h40).

Interactive Storytelling with Scratch

Students discover 2D animation in Scratch. Together, we learn the basics of block-based coding to create a story in which characters and settings come to life.

This activity combines creativity, storytelling and an introduction to digital technology. It can be adapted to any topic covered in class or a book the pupils have read.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 25 students
DURATION: 2 school hours (1 hour 40 minutes). The workshop can be extended into a series.

Space Explorers

Students discover robotics by building a rover to explore a distant planet or the Moon! In teams, they build a rover to go on an expedition and learn how to program it with Scratch blocks. Throughout the mission, they improve their robot by adding claws and sensors to ensure it can collect samples, sort them and complete a few fun robotics challenges!

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 25 students
DURATION: A cycle of at least 3 workshops. Each workshop lasts 2 school hours (1h40).

Introduction à l’intelligence artificielle (IA)

Today, artificial intelligence is part of our everyday lives. In this workshop, students discover what AI really is (machine learning, deep learning, generative AI). They explore the possibilities through various tools for generating images and videos and learn how to create their own AI assistant! At the same time, they reflect on ethical issues such as privacy, responsibility, and stereotypes related to AI.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 25 students
DURATION: minimum 2 class periods (1 hour 40 minutes). It is possible to explore the chosen theme in greater depth by adding more workshops.

Smart city – Artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics

Artificial intelligence and robotics are becoming increasingly prevalent in our society. The aim of this workshop is to demystify AI and show how it fits into robotic technologies. Students program a robot car equipped with an AI sensor so that it can recognize different traffic signs and act accordingly. Programming is done in blocks, a simplified programming language.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 20 students
DURATION: A cycle of at least 3 workshops. Each workshop lasts 2 school hours (1h40).

3D Design

Students learn the basics of 3D design with Tinkercad software, which is used in real world applications like industrial design, engineering and architecture. Students work with simple geometric shapes, assembling and modifying them to design a practical 3D project.

Through this workshop, participants explore the basics of 3D design, experiment with different techniques and develop their spatial reasoning skills.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 25 students
DURATION: minimum 2 class periods (1 hour 40 minutes). It is possible to explore the chosen theme in greater depth by adding more workshops.

Python and robotics – introduction to programming

Students learn the basics of Python programming by coding a robot equipped with optical and distance sensors and cameras. Step by step, they discover how a robot perceives its environment and how to control it using code. They experiment with lopps, conditions, variables, and algorithms through challenges such as detecting and avoiding obstacles.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 25 students
DURATION: A cycle of at least 3 workshops. Each workshop lasts 2 school hours (1h40).

Drone - Rescue Mission

Drones are used in various fields and sectors (agriculture, delivery, first aid, etc.). During this workshop, students discover why we use them and how they work. They then immerse themselves in a first aid mission. Working in pairs, students collaborate to collect data, move safely, and navigate around obstacles.
A four-period workshop covers drone piloting and programming (in blocks). It is also possible to organize a two-period workshop, but in this case, you will have to choose between piloting and coding.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 20 students
DURATION: 2 or 4 class periods (1 hour 40 minutes or 3 hours 20 minutes)
