VEX IQ Competition Program | Ages 9-14
This is an advanced robotics program based on the challenge of the VEX IQ Competition, an international robotics competition.
During our weekly sessions, teams of 4-6 students will work on designing, building and programming (in Scratch or Python) a robot that can score as many points as possible in this season's game. They will have to come up with the best strategy and robot design to meet the challenge.
This program encourages the development of teamwork, critical thinking, project management and communication skills.
Participation in the competition is not mandatory, but we encourage the most motivated teams to register. Please note that there will be additional costs associated with this.

Course details:
All equipment for building a hero bot, a playing field and game elements are provided.
The teams that would like to compete in VIQC need to attend regional and national competitions (organised over weekends, minimum 2 per year). If a team qualifies it will get a chance to compete at VEX Robotics World Championship held in April 2025 in Texas, US. All costs related to the competitions and trips (registration fees, travel costs, hotels, food etc) are not included in the price of tuition and will need to be covered separately.
Weekly classes from 25/09/2024 to 31/05/2025 (no classes during school holidays of FWB) plus one Sunday bootcamp. Class duration 2 hours.
Payment options : full school year 930 euros (150 nonrefundable sign up fee and 783 euros tuition); or with SEPA Direct Debit (150 euros nonrefundable sign up fee + 9 monthly transfers of 87 euros).
For the kids ages under 14 we will provide a tax certificate that will allow you to get back 45% of the cost (up to the limit of 16,40 euros per day).
